Personally i will do a bit of everything, but mainly in robos and high yield savings, lesser in DIY. there will be certain minimum expenses and this is where stability comes in. eg lesser money can go for smaller property, but there is a limit of how small property can be for a family to live comfortably. similarly for other expenses, even for retirement.
but also depends on your current capital size, investing experience, risk tolerance. if you are experienced in DIY, you may do better than robos, but at the expense of spending time and effort monitoring the markets.
also, plan to increase savings and investing amount as your salary increases.
hope this helps.

I believe for goals beyond 10years, investments is still an viable option. If you are able to manage your investments yourself (and have a track record for doing so) DIY would definitely be the best option.
High Yield savings in my opinion will come into play when these milestones are less than 5 years away.
