Can I pay my whole life insurance premiums with a credit card? I am not necessarily looking for rewards, but rather to be able to pay at a later date. Thanks!

I thought policies usually allow only the first premium to be paid by credit card and the following premiums to be paid via GIRO. Check with your provider.
For my Prudential endowment plan, I was able to pay by credit card for all of my premiums. Prudential has an online portal where customers can change the payment method to credit card.

Most insurance companies allow paying first year premium for whole life plans using credit cards, and some through their online portal allows payment via credit card for subsequent payments.
Anyway, most major insurance companies are on AXS (via the machine, or Web, or the app) and AXS accepts Visa and Mastercard as mode of payments, so this answers your question. However, AXS payments do not qualify for any credit card cashback or miles (if there's one, please let me know and I will apply right away). Just make sure you double trip check the policy number when you key in so you do not pay for someone else's policy.
