Newbie in investing but wants to start building passive income stream. I lean more towards lower-risk investing. Any advice on instruments to start with?

I just saved my 100k and would like to put some $ into investing to build passive income stream. Currently have SSB in my portfolio. What are the other instruments that I should look at? What are the pros and cons of each?
