Annualised returns of any benchmark whose ETF you're looking to invest in can usually be found via an online search.

As to how long you should invest your savings for—as long as reasonably achievable. Compound interest deals the highest damage when you've been invested for the longest time.

ETF are like you buying a product then want to re-sell it to your customer. But the price will fluctuate every weekday from SG time ~9.30pm to 4am. Unlike bank interest which is guaranteed. There is still risk of lossing $$$, over short term, if your value of your product drop lower than the price you paid and you want to sell it off. So i would say, is best to buy with the $$$ you wont use & hold your product for min.10 years.

Where can you find the price of the ETF? Yahoo finance.
