I've seen a surprising number of Seedly comments from people who signed up for YouTrip directly from the App Store and then wondered why they never received their S$5 bonus. Let me save you that frustration.
Why did their bonus not come through?
YouTrip doesn't use a referral code — there is no text string to type into a field. It works purely through a personalised referral link. The referral is tracked the moment you click the link, before you even download the app. If you go to the App Store or Google Play first and download YouTrip independently, the referral attribution is completely bypassed and no S$5 will ever be credited.
This is probably the single most common mistake people make with YouTrip's referral programme.
How to do it correctly (4 steps):
⚠️ Also note: referral links expire after 60 days. If you find a Seedly post from several months ago, that link is almost certainly dead. The DLCuration page above refreshes theirs monthly, so it's always current.
Who is YouTrip for?
If you spend money overseas — whether travelling physically or shopping on international websites like Amazon US, Taobao, or ASOS — YouTrip is one of the simplest ways to avoid the standard 2.5% to 3.5% foreign transaction fee that most Singapore credit and debit cards charge. You pay at the interbank rate with zero markup across 150+ currencies.
Additional things you get for free:
October 2026 timing bonus: Sign up now and your account is live in time for YouTrip Mega Travel Day on 1 October — where you can earn up to 25% cashback on Klook hotels and 20% on Trip.com hotels. You'd need a funded YouTrip card to participate, which is exactly what your first top-up sets up.
