I'm sorry to hear that. Dismissal without notice is only legal if you were terminated for the following reasons:

  1. Terminated for misconduct. Examples include fraud, being disruptive at work, insurbodination, etc. Your employer must hold an inquiry first before terminating you. At the inquiry, they must give you a chance to defend yourself (almost like a mini company trial). If they did not hold an inquiry and terminated you, that would be illegal.
  2. Terminated for going AWOL. If you don't show up for work for 2 days in a row without notifying your employer, they can terminate you without notice.
  3. Terminated for breach of contract. Your employer can let you go for breaking your employment ontract tems, for instance if you get caught moonlighting.

If your termination without notice wasn't for the above reasons, then it would be illegal. Most kinds of termination require your employer to give you notice pay. If your dismissal is illegal, you can file a complaint with MOM and the Tripartite Alliance for Dispute Management (TADM).
