I am quite worried because it's quite disruptive to my daily life. How else will this disrupt my daily schedule?

Hi Anon,

It is indeed worrying to know that the COVID-19 outbreak situation in Singapore continues to worsen as the number of cases in Singapore has now risen to more than 1,309. There are now more local cases than imported ones as we see new local COVID-19 clusters and more community spread. To prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the Government has implemented what it called the ‘circuit breaker’.

Should the circuit breaker extend, it will be worrying for businesses that continue to struggle with operations and reduced or even zero cash flows. I am also worried for workers who are struggling to keep their jobs.

Let’s all do our part as a socially responsible human being and practise social distancing. Stop all the non-essential social gatherings, stop all the non-essential visits, don’t go out unless absolutely necessary, and please stay at home if you are sick. Let’s do our part in breaking this circuit. This is one month of inconvenience but like what DPM Heng said when he addressed Parliament today regarding the Solidarity Budget, “we must take short-term pains to avoid even sharper pain later”.
