Looking to lease a commercial office space in Tai Seng area, lease term is 6 years. Lease contract says landlord has right to review rent every 12 months. Is this normal?

What's the most common period for rent reviews? Don't want to get rent hikes every single year for a 6-year lease.

For a 6 year lease, rent reviews are typically every 2 years (sometimes 3 years). How many other office spaces have you looked at? Perhaps take a look at more office spaces, before you commit to this particular location. Tai Seng, along with nearby locations like Bartley, offer entrepreneurs plenty of offices to choose from.

If we look at a HDB e.g. priced at $500,000. And since the lease is 99 years. If we look at this perspective of renting 99 years from the government, this will equate around $5,050/ year which is around $420/month. Hmmm?
