Is trading forex and earning money from it considered as illegal when serving NS?

I will be enlisting in army soon and I am planning on trading forex. Is it considered moonlighting and illegal?

No. Moonlighting is only if you serve in the capacity of an employer. Forex trading is not considered employment.
