Is there any downside of only investing in REITS/Stocks to get the dividends then sell it off after dividend received (repeating the processing before next dividend date) ?

Assuming the dividend is way more than the fees to do so

Why not just just reinvest and grow your dividends? Sounds like a lot of hassle for limited upside.

Is a very inefficient strategy. You got that idea from youtube?😆

You need high volatility to profit from trading, dividend stocks usually less volatile.

If you really want to trade.

Don't use margin, always use cash (margin call)
Never short a stock (unlimited loss)
Always trade good company, long term trending up, (if you are wrong at the moment, just wait)
