Am starting an internship at a cleaning contracting company, and the boss offered me $3/hr. I asked if he thought that was a bit low. He said I should be lucky that I'm even being paid. Aren't there regulations that state interns should be paid a minimum amount? Like the progressive wage model?

For internship, it is more for you to gain network and industry exposure. So it will not be called wage but rather more like allowance.

There is no minimum wage for interns in Singapore. Unpaid internships are therefore legal. The Progressive Wage Model (PWM) applies only to specific types of jobs (mostly lower-paid manual positions) like cleaners, security guards, etc.
