Is the Air Asia dividends rewarded at the current stock price a good deak?

Air Asia is giving out a special dividends of rm0.90, and the ex date is 30 July. And the current stock price is rm2.88, seems like a good deal. Any thoughts?

Note that once Air Asia trades beyond record date, the share price is likely to fall by the amount of the dividends.

I am not sure why AirAsia is paying such a big dividends.

Do not buy a company to receive their dividends. Ask yourself whether this is a sustainable company that is able to dish out this amount of dividends consistently.
