Compared to robos, RSS are not risk-tailored and do not allow for re-optimisation.
RSS is allows for regular investment to a fund or stock whereas robos provide some advisory services. With robos, you can indicate your risk profile and the algorithm will formulate an asset allocation for you. In contrast with RSS, you have to choose what you want to invest in.
If your RSS allows for dividend or coupon re-investment, then compound interest is able to happen.
