Is my Commission supposed to be this high?

Bought 2 shares of SPYL EBS on IBKR @12.186 and the commission is comes out to $4.36.

Did I buy the wrong etf?

Are you sure the fees is commission and not other fee.ibkr have fixed commission and tier, go check if you are under fixed commission or tiered commission.
