Hi, personally I don't believe that they do not need to do anything at all for the rest of their lives when the children grow up. But it is nice of you to think so far for your kids.
Reason being, there are always many changes in the industry and what seems like sufficient/enough for the kid now does not mean that it would be when they grow up, especially when lifestyle changes, the needs would change accordingly also.
Life insurance is important and good to have if budget allows, but hospitalisation and accident plans should have been done up first.
