Is it worth to RSP for Nikko AM - StraitsTrading Asia Ex Japan REIT ETF?

Is it worth to buy the REIT ETF monthly for the investment portion of the DBS Multiplier account?

Hi, the main question to ask yourself is if buying the Nikko AM - StraitsTrading Asia Ex Japan REIT ETF is truly what you are interested in, and not because you need to unlock the investment portion of your DBS Multiplier Account to earn the higher interest rates.

If you are really interested in this fund, then it MAY be worthwhile to do. I say "MAY" is because the monthly transaction cost is 0.82%. Best is to check if there are other platforms that can offer you more competitive rates. Therefore, you need to calculate if the extra interest you earn from your DBS Multiplier is worth it.

Back to this fund, currently, it's up 0.51% quarter to date. If you decide to do a RSP on this fund, stick to a fixed amount within the green (upper) and red (lower) dotted bands. They are the average (+) and (-) returns and represent "normal times". When the price drops below the lower band, increase your RSP amount because they are rare (happens only twice on Mar 18 and Mar 20). When it goes above the upper band reduce your RSP amount because it's hinting you based on the full historical data, price is overextended and most probably is going to revert back downwards. A useful strategy to use on an up-trending counter. Hope it helps.
