Is it worth signing up for credit card for the welcome gift?

I'd say it's worth it if it's a card you'll use. Annual fees for entry level cards ($30k annual income requirement) is usually pretty easy if you use the card every now and then, and they usually come with 1st year annual fee waiver too.

Technically you can cancel after you've received your gift, but doing this too often hurts your credit score so you may want to watch out for that.
