Is it worth it to invest in Dividend ETFs?

Dear Shifus, any thoughts on dividend ETF such as SDY, VYG, VIM etc?

is it worth it to invest in such ETFs? or should go for individual companies that are on the Dividend ETF's holdings?

US ETFs/stocks dividend yield are low, after withholding tax, is lower. And soon, you will give up in dividend investing because cashflow is so little and capital appreciation are low.

Instead, invest in SG market or unit trust that generate dividend for more efficiency.

You must weigh between capital appreciation VS cashflow. How it can fit in your portfolio long term.

Not keen to invest in dividend ETFs/stocks listed in US or European stock exchanges because there are dividend withholding tax for Singaporean.
