Is it possible to only spend $300 per month for daily expenses if I am a young working adult?

My working hours are very flexible and i only work a few hours per day and only spend on food?

Hi Desiree! As a young working adult too I work alternate weeks in office, so that's about 10 lunches per month. We usually eat lunch at coffeeshops so on average each meal costs around $4–5β€”10x$5=$50. Most weekdays I eat dinner at home (thanks mom) so I get to save on that. I dine out at restaurants about 4–6 times a month, and I try to keep each meal under $25β€”6x$25=$150.** **

My monthly food expenses usually add up to about $200-250, and my transport expenses around $30 (bus mrt walk/run for that 1 min mrt transfer amen).

If you work from office everyday then your expenses might be slightly higher, but from your comments I see that the costs of your meals are even lower than mine! So I think $300 is totally realistic for you. :-) Huats.

Yes, especially if you don't splurge on your meals or cook your own meals. What's the average cost of your meal?
