I am in the built environment industry, would it be ok to ask for higher salary after probation even tho they dint talk about increase in salary before start of probation ? I am a degree holder. Not sure if it is a norm to ask for higher salary once u passed probation.

If you don't ask, you won't get. Of course, ask doesn't mean you will get it. And if you ask, have something to show for it. Justify why you deserve the raise.
Whether or not it is the norm is moot. The fact is your employer will not be stressing daily over whether to give you a raise. The prerogative is entirely yours.
That said, it doesn't mean throw caution to the wind and flip tables demanding a raise. There is a way to go about all this that demonstrates that you are all at once competent, intelligent, and possessing social and emotional quotient necessary to navigate delicate situations. That in itself may be a soft quality which your employers appreciate.

Hello!
There is definitely nothing wrong with asking for a pay increment after your probation.
Usually, your pay should increase after probation. However, if you feel that you have value-added your company to a certain extent and that a pay increment seems justifiable. Then please do go ahead and ask for a pay increment.
However, do also note that you may or may not get the pay increment.
