I will usually pay one shot. I don't like having liabilities/debts. I'd like to be debt free as early as I can!

Actually if you are able to get a 0% instalment plan, I would actually recommend you to do a X month instalment.
Mainly for me, I bought a TV for around $1.3k but split it up into 6 months, so I can hit my minimum spend on my credit card (BOC Family card - min spend = $800 monthly) to get the cash rebate on all my other spend. That to me, is the biggest pro factor :)
