Predicting when it will be a good time to buy something need some dedication in studying the market before making a decision but for me its a risky bet to buy without the proper research and management and just speculating on a uncertainty

I have approx $7300, looking to buy into tech stocks in US - is it a good time now, or is recession going to hit soon so I should invest in defensive industries?
