I've seen many people hype up the DBS Multiplier savings account- even budgetbabe herself. Was wondering if this is really the best savings account out there? I know that best is subjective, based off the different circumstances of different individuals, but for the normal layman Singaporean, would this be the best savings account on paper? If not, what are the other accounts that are fantastic?

Well it depends. Actually, if you are below 26, you can take a look at SC Jumpstart, also 2% interest. For DBS Multiplier, the criterias are pretty easy to meet as compared to OCBC360 or UOB One where you need min. credit card spend per month. Main criteria is your salary credit though.
With that said, I am actually stacking DBS Multiplier & UOB One now, as salary credit is not the main criteria in UOB One (their $500 min. spend CC is).

You got it right in ur question- best is subjective.
I am using DBS multiplier account myself, and its one good account, with bonus from salary crediting and credit card spend.
Doesn't mean other accounts are not good.
OCBC 360 is a great account (one of the first pioneer in all these tiered bonus) so is UOB One account. SCB has a jumpstart, and CIMB has another account too.
For now, i personally like OCBC 360. The internet interface is really easy to understand the bonus tiers.

Yes it is one of the best but you do have to take into consideration your savings, spending, salary etc.
You can definitely try using the seedly to Best Savings Account tool to have a good gauge on which is the best account for your situation.

In fact, you're not wrong to assume that DBS Multiplier is one of the best. But like you mentioned, ...

I think the best hack for DBS/POSB is that they take into account of multiple party if you credit salary to joint account.
If you don't have much saving, I would say that POSB cashback scheme/OCBC is better.
