If your relatives or friends have parents to help pay for their property (E.g. condominium), do you count yourself unlucky if you dont have the means to do so or parents to help?

How would you approach such situation?

I will be very proud of myself if I am able to pay fully by myself for my own property. I don't feel good getting financial help from other people.

Envious would be better adjective, instead of unlucky. Growing up, I've watched my day toiled through challenges to support his family as the sole breadwinner and he's very prudent with spending which taught me from a young age of the importance of wealth management. I bring similar principles to my own little family now, teaching them on how to manage finances so that they won't be dependent on me and vice versa.

Although, I would be more willing to loan the money to my kids to pay for their apartment (if I have the funds) rather than have them take on a bank loan with interest. We just need to write an mutual agreement on the payment monthly, not because I'm greedy or want my money that desperately, but I want them to learn accountability and feel proud that they paid for their own place with their own money.

On the other hand, some parents have kids that get full scholarship to university, while having no tuition, and who worked since 14 years old and give them allowance. the comparison does not end, we all do the best we can.

Yup I count myself unlucky but that's life. I won't dwell on it and work hard to get what I want wit...
