If you could put a number to it, how much would you value a human's or your own life?

My university lecturer said that we are all worth more than $1M, because even if we earn $2000 monthly, $2000 x 12 mths x 50 years is already more than a million.

Body parts can be sold on the black market for quite a high price. For example, a heart is worth $1 million, according to Google. Other important organs such as the kidney, lungs, and liver may also be worth a lot. Hence, a human's life is worth a high amount.

That's a thought-provoking question. I believe at birth, everyone is worth the same. It's only during growing-up stage where society values each individual differently based on contribution. If you're deemed to worth more to the society, you'll be valued more.

Everyone is worth more than $1M but are we behaving and contributing like we are worth more than that? Think about the freeloaders you have come across, do you think that sort of action is million-dollar worthy?

  • Agreed with your prof. We all worth more than $1M.
  • We all sell our life to capitalism.
