If I'm shipping furniture from China to Singapore, what happens if my order gets damaged along the way?

What happens if the furniture gets broken or the order doesn't arrive?

It depends on where you bought your furniture from. If you're buying from a platform like Taobao, check the seller's return/warranty policy. It's usually too much of a cost and hassle to return furniture to China though; you may end up spending more returning the piece rather than fixing it in SG at your own cost, or just living with the damage (if it's minor).

If you're buying direct from a store, ask them to provide you with Marine Cargo Insurance. This will pay for any damage or loss along the way. You can also buy your own marine cargo policy to cover your shipments if the seller doesn't want to provide it.
