This month I spent 2.4k alone, taking into account that 1058.10 went into gifts and donations. I give 10% of my income as tithe, and also wedding hongbaos, bday gifts, offerings etc.The 2nd highest categories are food and beverages and shopping. Any advice on how to cut down expenditure? WIthout considering gifts and donations, I hope to cut spending by 300.

Assuming 1k on food, beverages an shopping, are those for yourself or also for spouse/kids?
If you are single and spending on yourself only, I recommend reviewing your expenditure and see which areas you need to tighten up. Look for cheaper alternatives for daily necessities and consumer durables. I think there's posts by Seedly and MoneySmart doing comparision of various merchants. While $10 a day may seem a lot, one-off big purchases can contribute quite significantly.
If let's say you have spouse and kid(s), then you may wish to reconsider your lifestyle and reviewing expenditure. This can include family friendly restaurants, zero-cost outing etc. Requestioning whether a 'need' really is needed.
