I think I am having a mid-life crisis. I don't really dislike my current job but I don't enjoy it either. I feel like changing my job but there really isn't a strong pushing factor. Is this a phase?

I feel like being rash and change my job, but I have two kids and I can't just think of me. I need a steady flow of income but it doesn't help when I feel like I'm not growing in my current job.

Probably not a phase. But I think as parents, we got to make tradeoffs because there are so many things we have to do but so little time. Let's say you manage to change to a more satisfying job. But you mayn't end up happier because the cognitive energy you use up in learning the ropes of the new job may cause you to neglect your situation. I don't believe there is a win-win situation here

You can start looking for job opportunities meanwhile working....Until u found a job, u change...

secondly...you are looking at sales job?

you are right to think of your kids, and also think about your spouse too....if i were you, i will be worried and i will need someone to talk to. I will definitely talk to my wife because marriage isnt about me anymore...its about the family.

Inform your spouse of your unhappiness and address this together.

you can update us after discussion with your spouse.

Consult with your spouse, this had to be a jointly-made decision for it panned out in the long-termโ€‹...
