That’s nothing you can do, except move on... No point duelling on it and nothing changes except added unhappiness...
We all make mistakes in life... of coz it may take longer time to accept that a grave mistake has been made...
It took me > 5 years to accept a terrible mistake I made by over-trusting a friend and losing almost all my life savings. But I’m glad that I’ve finally moved on... otherwise, I’ll still be stuck in the same situation feeling unhappy and nothing changes... at least now I’m starting to slowly build up my savings and working on my retirement plans...
Jia you & all the best!

Hello friend :)
I can give you an analogy for this:
You are meeting a friend for dinner in Orchard
You chose to drive from home to town (eg Orchard)
You get on the expressway and Google Maps show you 15 minutes
You miss the exit C which was the correct exit for you to turn into Orchard
Hence Google Maps now show you 20 minutes
In life, its really about taking a longer route or shorter route.
As with your career, I have seen many people who "took a wrong" path, but at the same time, never settled and continuously searched for a route which they feel better at and motivated.
In our team, we actually have a writer and now marketer, who used to be from a Military background as a full timer. That's just one of many examples, I've seen :)
Keep looking and searching, it's ok to take a longer time :)
