Toa payoh lor 5 night hawker, sambal stringray is to die for

Come to the EAST !! (Yes, east side is the best side)

My go to cheap and good food place is bedok interchange hawker centre! There are tons of good hawker food yet affordable for your wallet!

1. Zhong Xing Ban Mian

(Source: Sethlui)

This is my go to ban mian! $3.50 for a huge bowl of ban mian that always leaves me feeling really full! Best consumed when its a rainy day.

2. Vegetarian Food

(Source: open rice)

This is one of the cheapest vegetarian food i've ever eaten! Only $2.50, you can get a plate of rice with 3 dishes! or opt for their beehoon for additional 30cents, or additional 50cents for a healthier choice - brown rice. My go to is always beehoon with their vegetarian mutton curry !!

3. Qing Tian Yong Tau Foo + Popiah

(Source: Openrice)

This is yet another one of the cheapest yongtaufoo i've ever eaten! For only $3.00, you get to choose 6 ingredients + 1 noodle/rice! Also, they are very famous for their popiah (2 rolls @ $2.80), so do expect a queue when you are there!

1. Beach Road Prawn Noodle House ($5.80 for a small bowl)

The best prawn noodles I have ever tasted with a really rich broth. The Ngoh Hiang stall located in the same unit also serves up amazing deep-fried food with a really flavourful chilli sauce. The Jalan Sultan Prawn Mee also has a similar flavour to

A go-to on a rainy day!

2. Nakhon Rice Noodle Pad Thai ($6)

The Pad Thai served here is one of my favourites! Quite a generous serving with just the right amount of sweetness, peanut crunch and chilli flakes to go along with it. There are multiple outlets around Singapore so I'm sure you'll find one decently close enough to you if you're craving for Thai food.

3. Tong Fong Fatt Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice ($3.50)

I like this because of it's tender chicken and fragrant rice plus it's super affordable. Some might feel the sauce is a tad too oily but I think it complements the meat and rice really well. This stall is located at multiple hawker centres as well!
