I'm looking for investment instruments that can provide a monthly cash flow, and at least 3% p.a. Does anybody have anything to recommend? Have about 100k lump sum. But open to other strategies?

Rather than hope for capital gains, I'm interested to generating passive income from my idle cash. This is my investment objective.

Am OK with illiquidity with regards to my lump sum investment, hence would like a monthly payout, total at least 3% p.a. would be ideal.

Hi there,

There are funds avaliable that gives you a dividend payout through lump sum investment. You can also opt for retirement plans that are investment driven that offer monthly payouts while your lump sum is invested into a variety of funds for risk management. Another way is to buy into different dividend paying stocks.

Financial planning is an integral part of life. You can reach me here to find out more.

1) only unit trust got monthly payout. Normally between 3% - 4%. Use fundsupermart to filter out.

2) staggered sg dividend stocks such that recieve payout every month. Below link to see coming dividend, just buy in accordingly. But not all month, got good stock, thus approx. 3 mth will have no $$$.

3) Some US stock got monthly dividend. But witholding tax 30%. Thus will less than 3%p.a

4) Bond. Pay you monthly coupon but long term bond not liquid. Affect by interest rate. Dont buy bond fund.

I prefer cashflow from equity so i can continue DCA to increase the payout, and payout will increase as company grow.
