I was from Prudential. I don't really like the culture there. Their top 10 agent of the year, Han Chi Teng, was trying to manipulate me (a fresh grad) by boasting that goh chok tong is his client, i'm not smart so no choice have to be an agent.

Hi anon,

Most insurers have pretty similar products, at least in terms of what kind of coverage (e.g. Death/TPD/CI/PA/Long Term Care, etc). So in this aspect, they are quite similar.

You will have to speak to the various recruiting managers from various insurers. Even within the same insurer, speaking with different recruiting managers is not uncommon. Your environment and learning path will be shaped differently under different managers even if you are in the same firm.

Understand your manager and also check in on his experience, how training will be provided, what kind of support can you expect, etc. If you don't like what you hear, you don't have to join. Don't settle for anything less.
