I have been trying to enter jobs in investment banking/analyst, trading, risk analyst, portfolio mgmt. I have been trying for the past 5 months but still unsuccessful as I do not have experience?

As such I'm wondering how do I go about starting a career in this industry.
I've been working as an insurance agent for the past 2 years due to the fact that I needed a job during my uni days to pay for my school fees and needed something flexible. However, I'm now looking to move out of insurance.

It's going to be difficult entering a new industry if you have no experience, especially one in your interest area. If I were you and assuming this is something I really want, I will apply for an internship or traineeship (since I'm a fresh grad) - your chances of getting a positon in these roles will be much easier and you can pick up experience!

I do know someone who took a traineeship in portfolio management for 9 months without prior experience, so this is something you might want to look towards. All the best!
