I have a friend who has no money left just 5 days after payday.

Ask if your friend is worried about not having enough money to retire? What if anything happens to her job, herself or her loved ones that requires monetary commitments? What will then happen to her? If she does not do anything about her cc debts n lifestyle, these will come back to bite her. Kudos to you for wanting to help your friend!

If she has no money left after 5 days, how is she going to survive the next 25 days till next payday?

1) is she even willing to listen to advise?

2) is she willing to commit on cutting down expenses / adjust spending & savings habits?

If no, forget it. Let her learn her lessons.

Is she a close friend? first, you need to understand if she thinks it is a problem at all. and once she realises it, thats when you can help her but giving her tips (track expenditure, etc)
