I have 30k savings on my DBS account that I can invest anywhere. Where should I park this extra money? Is DBS fixed deposit a good idea for invest for two plus years?

Or do I invest it in digiPortfolio? I'm very new to investing and I just want my savings to go somewhere better than parking it on my savings account. I also can save 1k a month to grow my savings or for investments.

Be aware that DBS FD will have early termination penalty, meaning you would not be able to get back your principal amount for premature withdrawal.

For your monthly savings for investment you may consider using robo to invest in major US index.

You can also potentially look into putting a comfortable amount of lump sum into that index via robo. Looking at the market now, seems like a downtrend but I do think it could potentially be an opportunity. But always do your own due diligence and research before entering. All the best !
