Not sure if it will help you with your situation, I recently converted to Singaporean after spending almost my entire life studying and working in Singapore, the main reason for this is to access subsidy for housing, childcare, child education. But again same can be done in Malaysia since it is much more affordable, so my consideration is quality of education for my child and safety. Also we are both working in Singapore and don't see ourselve moving back to work in Malaysia in near future, don't think it will work having our children separated from us if they were to be taken care by our parent in Malaysia and we are working in Singapore, makes no sense of a life.

Nothing to advise lol. No benefit in converting just less subsidy only. But a lot of cons. so if you want to convert then go ahead.

There is no practical value to converting as PRs enjoy most or similar benefits to Citizens. You are better of working in SG as PR and keeping the abitrage advantage to invest in Malaysia. Take your time to consider.
