I have been working as an auditor and accountant since I graduated. This is all I've known but I am thinking of changing my job into a different industry to work as a school teacher. Before I can become a MOE-certified teacher, I need to first go through the training course. That also means taking time to study and prepare to be a teacher. I'm almost in my mid-30s and I need to financially support my family as well. My starting pay as a teacher will not be as high as my current job in a bank.

U definitely need savings first because ceritfication as a moe teacher may take a year or two.

starting pay as teacher not as high - is ur family ok with this? are u ok with this? u only have 1 life so i would say pursue what u want but also be reasonable with urself and ur family.

Savings, investments, part-time work as a tuition teacher. Cut down on your non-essentianl, discretionary spending
