What i noticed is that fresh grads tend to send in the same CV for every single job, no matter how different the job is. Rather than spending 10 seconds per job application, you may wish to stand out more by really spending time to customize each application, by refining your CV to bring more the more pertinent points according to each employer, and by really tweaking your cover letter to fit the job opening. It may seem like a lot of work upfront, for very little potential gain, but in this climate, every bit counts, and if you spend a lot of effort per application, i'm confident you will see results.
