Hey guys, I have an upcoming payment of around 4K that can either be paid upfront or by installments with 0% interest with the vendor. I am wondering what is the best way to maximise my cashback?
I have the following 2 credit cards
DBS Live Fresh CC (5% cashback for contactless spend up to $600)
SC Simply Cash CC (1.5% cashback on all spends)
Would I also get cashback if I choose to pay via the vendor installment plan? I am thinking of doing a monthly installment with the vendor of $600 to hit the DBS card's cashback requirement but not sure if I will get cashback on this. Otherwise, I may just pay $600 upfront and the rest is charge to the SC card. Appreciate if anyone can share similar experiences.

I personally have the simply cash card. what i usually do with this card is to pay full upfront first. then in the app can choose to split into instalment
the 3months one is no interest and you still can get cashback on full amount

If you're looking at cashback, check the terms and conditions first as installments may be an excluded type of payment.
You may also look at the type of goods and services you are buying. Most of the time it works, but since I don't know what kind of expense you are getting, again I'll need to refer you to the TnCs.
Ask the vendor if they can accept multiple credit card charges. I know some may find this unusual, but no harm asking.

Some credit cards do not consider installent as eligible rewards, better check properly...

How do I get the cashback? It says to apply by 10 September and spend $500 get $330 cash back (Standard Chartered Bank). But the time is so short. If I apply on 9 Sept, they may process it on 11 Sept. When must I spend $500 to be eligible for the $330? But when I click apply, the cashback is up to $320, so it is very confusing. Does it mean cash back can be $100, $200, $230, etc? How do I get the cash back?
