Hi guys,
I’m 35 and looking to invest long term instead of trading. This is how I’m planning to divide my funds(25k):
1) SG stocks - D05 and C38U
2) US stocks - DIS and AAPL or just one of them
3) Global ETF - VWRA
What do you think of this plan? And how would you allocate the funds? Do you think that US stocks is a waste of time if I’m more of a buy and hold investor?
Also I’m currently paying for a HDB, so I’m considering that as my “bond” investment.
Appreciate your time. Thank you!

Sorry if I didnt get it correctly, do you mean treating your HDB as a bond investment? It's not quite the same and personally, I wouldnt put property (esp the one for living in) under investment.
Before you invest, make sure you got sufficient cash and/or OA for your emergency funds and house mortgage. Investing in individual stocks posses more risk compared to investing in an ETF which tracks the return on a selected pool of items. I can't say whether the stocks are good or bad, as it all depends on individual.

Yes you shouldn't consider living property under investment as you would need to utilize it, unless perhaps you are renting out your rooms and generating income from there. Also US is worth to wait if you have the time. But still best to diversify. You can contact me if you have more queries. Cheers. [email protected].
