How to repay OCBC credit card bills?

Context: first time credit card user (OCBC), savings account with other banks.

  1. When is my statement due? (I.e if my first transaction was on 10 Aug, does it mean I have to repay Aug expenditure by 10 Sep)?

  2. Can I repay my card spend before my statement due? It still says that I owe $0 despite multiple transactions having been processed/ registered under card spend.

  3. How do I increase my credit limit? (Initially set my credit limit very low by mistake)

Thanks!

  1. You will receive your credit card statement/e-statement and there will be a "Payment Due Date" which indicate when is the latest date you need to make payment. Usually you can expect around one month time-frame for you to pay for your transaction. E.g. Transaction on 10 Aug, received statement on 20 Aug, and Payment Due Date on 12 Sept.
  2. Yes you can make early repayment and your statement may even appear positive, e.g. LAST MONTH'S BALANCE (0.48), the bracket indicate the overpay instead of the usual repayment amount.
  3. I think you probably need to call OCBC hotline to readjust the credit limit.

  1. Payment due date would be given on your credit card statement. It is related to the billing cycle, not the transaction date.
  2. Of course you can repay your card spend before the payment due date. Any card spend after the current statement date will be included in the next statement with a new due date.
  3. You can call the bank to raise your credit limit, but they will assess your income level and credit history to approve the credit limit.
