How to make $1,000 into $10,000 in 5 years?

10 x in 5 years is definitely possible!

One viable option now is to find a company that is still cheap enough and early in the game, where you can buy substantially enough shares, and still has potential to 10 x in 5 years.

Some shares I feel have potential

1. Palantir: currently trading at $24
2. Nio: Currently trading at $41

But please study these companies first b4 u invest!

There are a few options you can consider:

1) Buy 4D/Toto and hope you win

2) Buy Bitcoin and hope it soar 10 times within 5 years

3) Look out for the next Gamestop

4) Start a business and make it happen

On a serious note, you are looking at approx 59% in growth annually, which is quite impossible. You would probably be better off finding a job to make that amount lah tbh.

Using $1K, invest in the stock market. You can try SGX for a start, it's slow but $10K result should not be a problem. If you need higher turnover and move fun after work, the US market is ideal.

Do short term spot trading and target to make 5% return on each trade.

Reinvest the profit and the principle in the next trade. Repeat.

$1,000.00 =Principle

$1,050.00 = 1st trade

$1,102.50 = 2nd trade

$1,157.63 =3rd trade

....

$10,401.27 =48th trade

You'll need 48 trades to reach $10,401.

Meaning you'll do about 10 trades a year.

There are plenty of time for you to learn and execute. Simple mathematically achieveable plan based on just 5% return per trade.
