Decided to quit a higher than average income job 2 months later, without securing another job-due to high work stress. Too tough to continue the job, hard to cope. My mental strength is long gone. Applied for many roles since few months ago but to no success. Married no kids

Sorry to hear about that! Must be tough for you. Firstly, do discuss this matter with your spouse if you have yet to do so. Secondly, know clearly what you want for the next job (e.g. work life balance, open culture, flexible hours etc.) and have a plan in mind - search for a job via various channels like Linkedin, professional contacts, recruitment firms etc. Put yourself in a position whereby you stand the most chance of securing a job (like talk to someone you know in the company where you would like to apply for a job, get as much information as possible). Meanwhile do consider if you also want to take the opportunity to sign up a course to acquire new skills or upgrade your existing knowledge. Having a job is important but not at the expense of your mental health and life.
