How much should i ask for salary increment?

Hi there, would like to seek some expert opinion regarding my salary.

Currently im drawing 2.9k(Before CPF) and my company is promoting me to a team manager due to a departure of another staff,

Question: Is asking for a increment of 2k is too much? Felt that im underpaid after looking at the market.

If you are underpaid and way below market rate, 30% is nothing. It all depends on what is how much does the job position pay.

Typically 15-20% is the market rate. However companies do offer more sometimes. If you are looking at a 30% pay raise, do be prepared to be able to justify
