If you are looking at a brand new basic car like Toyota Vios, it will cost about $76k in Singapore. I wrote a detailed post about its cost here: https://www.blog.pzl.sg/cost-of-owning-a-car-in...
For cars with Open Market Value (details about OMV in my post above) of $20k and below, the maximum loan is 70%. Hence, a minimum downpayment of 30% is required.
For cars with Open Market Value of above $20k, the maximum loan is 60%. Hence, a minimum downpayment of 40% is required.

I think it is dependent on what you look for in a car? there are way too many factors that can affect the cost of the car. But if u are looking at getting a car, can consider getting one via https://www.motorist.sg/used-cars. Can just tell them what you want and i believe they will be able to give you the best deal that satisfy ur needs. Some of my friends recently are trying to get their through them and they mentioned that the staff are pretty helpful and nice to talk to haha
