A gd brokerage firm with established reputation is still needed, dont believe that good things can be free! So do expect a min transaction/ trading costs of abt 10sgd++ no matter what, upon selling, u need that min. Trading costs again too....

so x 2 in all.....

if your purchase of stocks are just 100units esp those expensive blue chips, some of the stingy div payout is just not economical esp Mas even recommend to some banks not to give out generous divs!

the more units u purchased that will help to defray the cost of transactions more and the enrgy and effort spent on researching and monitoring that particular stocks!

think abt it- u must have felt that a stock is gd for long term or gd to hold till retirement (so that u will never live a life in tenterhooks yet u only purchase a 100units??)

how many studies N research are u goin to

div in for each of the many stocks x 100units each r u going to do??

also if u knw that stock xyz is damned gd w growth potential and high payout,& w strong fundamentals are u just gonna let it grow with just purchase of a 100units and then go find time to search for mediocre ones???

ponder hard pls, it is no rocket science that anyone could just take a seconds to calculate the need to set aside minimally 100units x price of a stock (even w 0 brokerage fee or

limited trading costs)

(some use OA, sa , srs etc to invest too, there r bank charges to holding them and transaction costs too!) if life is so straightfwd, then stock movement will only be a steady climbing up straight line!

Depends on the first stock you buy, minimum lot is 100 stocks.

So if your stock is $20, minimum is $20*100 = $2000

if your stock is $2, minimum is $2*100 = $200

$0.01.

The roboadviser fees scale according to how much capital you have. The days of minimum broke...
