How much did you spend on your wedding on average and where did bulk of the cost come from?
Also, any tips on how best to cut costs without compromising too much in terms of quality? (Ie which items worth to spend more)

The biggest expenditure will be the dinner or lunch banquet for sure. Hotels are damn overpriced imo. I did my own budget wedding and pulled off a dinner banquet for under $100 per guest inclusive of venue, set up, decor, fresh flowers, a flower arch, a wide spread of food, and even a dessert table!
