How much are analysts paid to write a nice stock recommendation report?

They are not paid. However their analyst reports is used to churn trading volumes for certain counters which in turn helps to earn brokeage comission for their companies​​​

I think that analysts are not paid to write though.. And I think the stocks they picked are "targeted", to generate more demand for the stock, hence increasing trade volume.

One funny thing that I notice though - usually whatever stock an analysts recommend, it usually goes the other way.. Lol
