How many bank accounts should one owns?

I have 5 accounts. POSB to credit salary and OCBC withdraw money (ATMs are usually less crowded)

I will open if that bank offer high interes rate when have promotions.

As many account as you want as long without any fee or just min sum lock in will do.

After all no cost to you why bother. But can get convient when you need ATM or when one of bank got outage.

Like when POSB/DBS always Long queue you got uob/ocbc you can withdraw from there, not enough just online FAST transfer will do.

Same time you can open a high int rate acount like CIMB FastSaver or those account that you need fulfuil some action to get higher int rate for saving rainy day funds.
