Can anyone help me to understand how the recent EC launches have been $1,300+psf while their resale counterparts are going at less than that?
Contrasting this with BTO and their resale counterparts, where the BTO is certainly priced at a deep discount.
As both are schemes run by HDB, one would expect a new launch EC to be subsidized too, perhaps less heavily. Is there something that I am missing here?

Generally there are more BTOs than ECs if not wrong. And then BTOs are the main focus for affordable housing and not ECs. Plus ECs can become condos next time.
Those are probably the base line.
